AUMOVIO wins “Best of Best” and Gold at the German Brand Award

The technology company AUMOVIO has received two awards at the German Brand Award 2026: Gold in the Transport & Mobility category as well as the highest honor, “Best of Best,” in the category Newcomer Brand of the Year. The brand identity was developed by the agency Peter Schmidt Group.

 

 

AUMOVIO wins twice at the German Brand Award 2026: The company, which emerged in 2025 from Continental’s automotive division, receives Gold in the Transport & Mobility category as well as the top distinction “Best of Best” in the category Newcomer Brand of the Year. The German Brand Award is one of the most prestigious prizes for brand management and is awarded annually by the German Design Council. The jury consists of interdisciplinary experts from business, brand strategy, and the creative industries. 

 

AUMOVIO is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers. Its focus lies on future-oriented topics such as driving safety, digital and engaging user experiences, vehicle connectivity, and autonomous mobility. With its broad portfolio, the company is shaping the industry’s transformation toward increasingly software-driven, connected, and user-centered mobility. This dynamic environment requires a high degree of adaptability – not only from products and services, but also from the brand itself: “Our claim: 'The Adaptive Powerhouse for Future Mobility' reflects exactly this,” explains Eva-Susanne Appold, Senior Vice President Communications & Marketing at AUMOVIO. “Our brand design makes this positioning visible and sends a strong signal in the competitive landscape.” 

 

From zero to DAX in just ten months 

 

From the initial briefing to the presentation at the IAA 2025 trade fair and the IPO, only ten months passed – including strategic positioning and name development. A demanding task for which AUMOVIO relied on the work of Peter Schmidt Group. The brand and design agency worked closely with partners Batten & Company (strategy) and BBDO (campaign). 

 

The visual identity positions AUMOVIO as a consistently future-oriented player: “From the adaptive logo and the distinctive color palette to the new corporate typeface, we developed a differentiating design system that enables the brand to adapt to future developments,” says Kristin Janoschka, Executive Director Consulting at Peter Schmidt Group. “The recognition at the German Brand Award makes us proud, as it honors an ambitious but successful joint sprint – from a blank sheet of paper to global relevance.” .
